"World Food Program": Less than a third of the agreed aid trucks have been allowed to enter Gaza
SadaNews - Today (Wednesday), Ross Smith, the emergency response official at the World Food Program, announced that Israel has only allowed less than a third of the agreed aid trucks to enter Gaza since the ceasefire agreement.
Smith added in an interview with CNN that Israel's commitment to allow 600 aid trucks to enter Gaza daily has not been fulfilled, noting that the program has observed the entry of fewer than 200 trucks per day into the sector over the past four days.
The Israeli Broadcasting Authority had stated earlier today that Israel decided to proceed with opening the Rafah crossing between Gaza and Egypt and allowing humanitarian aid to be transferred to the sector, following the return of the remains of four hostages yesterday (Tuesday).
It added that Israel has canceled measures it intended to take against Hamas, which included halving the number of aid trucks entering the sector.
