WHO: Over 15,000 cases in need of urgent medical evacuation in Gaza
SadaNews - The World Health Organization has warned of the deteriorating health situation in the Gaza Strip, confirming that over 15,600 patients need urgent medical evacuation for treatment outside the sector.
The organization explained that more than 15,000 individuals have had limbs amputated as a result of the recent war, calling for enhanced monitoring of the outbreak of diseases and viruses due to the deteriorating health conditions and damaged infrastructure.
The World Health Organization emphasized the necessity of reopening medical corridors to outside Gaza to ensure patients can access specialized treatment centers and provide emergency medical care, warning of the worsening humanitarian and health crisis if the closure and delays in providing medical support continue.
