After the War Ceasefire: Gaza's Civil Defense Recovers Over 250 Bodies Amid Severe Equipment Shortages
SadaNews - The spokesperson for the Civil Defense in the Gaza Strip revealed the extent of the humanitarian catastrophe that followed the ceasefire, confirming the recovery of more than 250 bodies since the declaration of the ceasefire, some of which were found in the streets and among the rubble.
He explained in a press statement that rescue teams are facing a significant shortage of heavy equipment necessary for lifting debris, which hinders access to thousands of potential victims. He added: "There are more than ten thousand people still under the rubble, and we do not have sufficient means to reach them."
He pointed out that the remnants of war and explosive materials scattered in residential areas pose a constant danger to civilian lives, calling for urgent intervention to provide the necessary equipment and technical support for rescue and removal operations.
