Red Crescent: Transfer of a sick prisoner to be released today from "Ofer" prison is underway
SadaNews - The Red Crescent Society announced that its crews entered "Ofer" prison west of Beitunia, west of Ramallah, a short while ago, to transfer one of the sick prisoners slated for release.
A short while ago, the exchange process for Palestinian prisoners and Israeli detainees in the Gaza Strip began.
According to the first phase of U.S. President Donald Trump's plan to end the war in Gaza and achieve peace in the Middle East, all living Israeli detainees in the Gaza Strip, numbering 20, will be released in two batches, in addition to the gradual handover of 28 corpses, depending on the progress made in retrieving them from under the rubble of homes in the Gaza Strip.
In return, the occupation authorities will release 250 high-security prisoners from their jails, as well as 1,718 detainees from Gaza who were arrested following the outbreak of war on October 7, 2023.
