Trump Plans Summit with Arab and European Leaders on Gaza During His Visit to Egypt Next Week

SadaNews Translation - US President Donald Trump intends to hold a summit with Arab and European leaders regarding Gaza during his visit to Egypt next week, according to four informed sources for Axios.

The American site stated, according to SadaNews translation, that the summit could rally additional international support for Trump’s peace plan for Gaza, amidst difficult agreements yet to be established regarding governance, security, and post-war reconstruction.

According to the sources, "The summit is being organized by Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, who has previously extended invitations to a number of European and Arab leaders."

The sources added that leaders or foreign ministers from Germany, France, the United Kingdom, Italy, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, Jordan, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, and Indonesia are expected to participate.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is not expected to attend at this time, according to an American official.

Trump is expected to arrive in Israel on Monday morning local time, deliver a speech before the Knesset, and meet with the families of hostages.

On Monday afternoon, Trump will head to Egypt to meet with el-Sisi and participate in a signing ceremony for the peace agreement with the other guarantor countries of the peace in Gaza: Egypt, Qatar, and Turkey.

The leaders' summit is likely to be held on Tuesday morning and will take place in Sharm El-Sheikh, where the negotiations for the agreement took place.
