Al-Hayya announces reaching a ceasefire agreement and receiving clear guarantees to end the war
SadaNews - Khalil Al-Hayya, head of the political bureau of the "Hamas" movement in the Gaza Strip and head of its negotiation team, announced that a ceasefire agreement has been reached in the sector.
Al-Hayya said in a recorded speech: "We announce today that we have reached an agreement to end the war and aggression against our people, to begin implementing a permanent ceasefire, the withdrawal of occupation forces, the entry of aid, the opening of the Rafah crossing in both directions, and the exchange of prisoners, where 250 long-term prisoners and 1,700 prisoners from the Gaza Strip who were arrested after October 7 will be released, in addition to the release of all children and women."
Al-Hayya confirmed that Hamas had received guarantees from mediators and the U.S. administration to completely stop the war.
He added: "We will continue to work with national and Islamic forces to complete the remaining steps and work towards achieving the interests of our Palestinian people, allowing them to determine their own fate and achieving their rights until the establishment of their independent state with Jerusalem as its capital."
He continued: "Hamas dealt with a high level of responsibility with U.S. President Donald Trump's plan, and we provided a response that meets the interests and rights of our people and stops their bloodshed, which includes our vision for ending the war. Our delegation arrived in the Arab Republic of Egypt armed with responsibility and positivity, which enabled us and the resistance forces to achieve an agreement that we present to our people."
Al-Hayya praised the resilience of Palestinians and the resistance over two years of war.
