Relevant authorities warn against approaching contact areas in Gaza despite talks of an imminent agreement
SadaNews - A reporter for "SadaNews" confirmed that there has been no withdrawal or retreat by Israeli occupation forces from the areas they are stationed in within the Gaza Strip, despite circulating news about the imminent signing of an agreement that would allow residents to return to some areas.
The relevant authorities issued clear warnings against approaching any area before 24 hours have passed since the expected signing of the agreement today, in order to ensure civilian safety and avoid any potential clashes with the forces deployed in the field.
For its part, the Israel Broadcasting Authority reported that three Israeli military units that were fighting inside the city of Gaza began to withdraw from their positions, fearing potential clashes with residents who are expected to try to return to the city following the Israeli government's announcement approving an agreement that allows civilians to return starting tomorrow.
In this context, the Israeli Army Radio noted that combat units in the Gaza Strip received orders to prepare for redeployment, in a move indicating a change in Israeli military tactics within the sector.
According to the Army Radio, Israeli forces are preparing either for a complete withdrawal from the city of Gaza or for repositioning in rear lines in the coming days.
