Sisi: I Will Invite Trump to Attend the Signing of the Agreement on Gaza

SadaNews - Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi invited his American counterpart Donald Trump on Wednesday to attend a potential agreement signing in Egypt, should it be reached during the ongoing negotiations in Sharm El-Sheikh.

During his speech from the Police Academy in Cairo, the Egyptian president referred to the continuous Egyptian efforts over the past two years to stop the Gaza war.

He continued, saying: "Now negotiations are taking place in Sharm El-Sheikh to end the war, and our hearts are all with these negotiations. I commend and respect President Trump's genuine will to end the war during the current round of negotiations."

Sisi sent a message to President Trump to continue his support for reaching a deal on Gaza, affirming Egypt's commitment to positively engage with the Palestinian cause.

He added: "What I have received about the Sharm El-Sheikh meetings is encouraging news, and we hope to seize the opportunity and ensure that the war ends in the current round of negotiations."

The president also emphasized that the region is going through difficult and harsh conditions, pointing to the Egyptian state's ability to overcome any challenge and confront any danger. He said: "We have managed to overcome terrorism, and the situation in Egypt is reassuring."
