Settlers Organize Protests Outside Homes of Ministers and Knesset Members Demanding the Return of Hostages

SadaNews - Protests were organized outside the homes of coalition ministers and Knesset members this morning, Tuesday, coinciding with the second anniversary of "The Al-Aqsa Flood" and Israel's genocidal war on Gaza, marking the hour when Hamas launched its attack on October 7, 2023.

Protesters gathered in front of the home of the former chair of the Knesset Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee,MK Yuli Edelstein, addressing US President Donald Trump in English against the backdrop of the Sharm El-Sheikh negotiations on his peace plan to stop the war, saying, "We demand our government approve your peace plan and bring peace to our region. Bring everyone back home, now," referring to the hostages held in the Gaza Strip.

Dozens of protesters gathered outside the home of Foreign Minister Gidon Sa'ar, reading the names of 48 hostages still held in Gaza, and raised a banner stating, "We have not forgotten the abandonment" of the hostages.

Across from the home of Transportation Minister Merav Michaeli, protesters held pictures of the hostages and banners that read, "No Forgiveness. We will not forget and we will not forgive."

Protesters also gathered outside the home of MK Ariel Kelner from the Likud party and outside the home of Environmental Protection Minister Idit Silman, reading the names of the hostages held in Gaza.

The protest movements stated that gatherings took place outside the homes of ministers Avi Dichter, Yoav Kish, Eli Cohen, Amichai Chikli, Ron Dermer, Nir Barkat, Israel Katz, Yariv Levin, Gila Gamliel, Haim Katz, Yitzhak Wasserlauf, Knesset Speaker Amir Ohana, Knesset Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee Chair Boaz Bismuth, and National Security Council Chairman Tzachi Hanegbi, with protesters also gathering outside the homes of other coalition party Knesset members.

The organizers of the protests pointed out that the protests occurred outside the houses of 26 ministers and Knesset members demanding the return of the hostages, stating in their announcement that "the darkest day in Israel's history occurred during your tenure, and this is a complete security failure. Two years have passed since the largest massacre in Israel's history, and these are two years of impunity. We will not leave the coalition members until the last abductee returns. We are here to remind you that the darkest day in Israel's history occurred during your tenure, and this stigma will accompany each of you for the rest of your lives."
