Putin Holds Phone Conversation with Netanyahu Regarding Gaza and Other Issues
SadaNews - The Kremlin announced this evening, Monday, that Russian President Vladimir Putin held a phone call with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
The Kremlin indicated that Putin and Netanyahu discussed the developments in the Middle East and the situation in the Gaza Strip.
The statement said: "Vladimir Putin conducted a phone conversation with the Prime Minister of the State of Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu. During the call, a comprehensive discussion was held regarding the ongoing developments in the Middle East, including in the context of the American President's plan for normalization in the Gaza Strip."
The two sides discussed ways to find "solutions" regarding the Iranian nuclear program and achieving stability in Syria.
Russia and Israel expressed their interest in seeking diplomatic solutions regarding the situation surrounding the Iranian nuclear program.
Putin and Netanyahu also discussed U.S. President Donald Trump's plan regarding the situation in the Gaza Strip, with the Russian President reaffirming his country's position on the settlement.
Additionally, Putin congratulated Netanyahu and the people of Israel on the Jewish holiday of Sukkot, and Netanyahu, in turn, expressed his best wishes to Putin on the occasion of his birthday.
