Israeli Official: "Difficult Issues" May Extend Sharm El Sheikh Talks
SadaNews - A senior Israeli official stated that indirect talks between Israel and Hamas in Egypt are expected to last for several days.
The official confirmed to "Reuters" that both parties aim to reach a comprehensive and detailed agreement, away from any temporary ceasefire.
However, the source ruled out the possibility of reaching a quick agreement, given the need to address the finer details.
He added that "the mediators have a long list of difficult issues they must convince Israel and Hamas to agree on, starting with aspects related to the situation on the ground, such as the details of the withdrawal of Israeli forces from Gaza and the timeline for that, up to the finer details of the transfer of Gaza's administration from Hamas and the formation of an international force to stabilize the situation, in accordance with what was included in (President Donald) Trump's plan."
