Human Rights Watch: Israel Kills the Equivalent of a Whole Classroom of Children Daily in Gaza
SadaNews - The organization "Human Rights Watch" confirmed that Israeli military operations in the Gaza Strip have turned most areas of the sector into rubble, pointing to widespread destruction that has affected entire neighborhoods and cities, amid rising international concern over the scale of human rights violations.
The organization clarified that Israeli forces have killed, on average, the equivalent of a whole classroom of children daily, indicating the scale of civilian casualties, especially among children, since the onset of military escalation.
"Human Rights Watch" called on governments not to wait for the adoption of President Donald Trump's plan to take action, asserting that the time has come for urgent measures to prevent further harm in Gaza.
The organization also urged the international community to pressure Israel to lift the illegal and comprehensive restrictions imposed on the entry of humanitarian aid into the sector, emphasizing that this must be done immediately and unconditionally.
The organization also called for the suspension of all forms of military aid and arms transfers to Israel, as well as to Hamas and other Palestinian armed factions, warning against the continued use of these weapons in serious violations.
The organization concluded its report by calling for sanctions against Israeli officials and others involved in violations, including travel bans and asset freezes, as a necessary step to hold accountable those responsible for crimes committed against civilians.
