Netanyahu: I did not agree to the establishment of a Palestinian state
SadaNews - Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu - wanted by international justice - confirmed that he did not agree to the establishment of a Palestinian state during his talks with U.S. President Donald Trump at the White House.
Netanyahu added in a video recording published on Tuesday on his Telegram account, saying "No, absolutely not, this was not in the agreement, and we have made it perfectly clear that we strongly oppose a Palestinian state."
Netanyahu announced on Monday during a joint press conference with the U.S. president that he supports Trump's plan regarding the Gaza Strip, adding that Israel will "complete the mission" if Hamas rejects the plan.
The plan published by the White House, consisting of 20 points, states, "As the reconstruction of Gaza progresses, and when the Palestinian Authority reform program is properly implemented, conditions may finally be created for a reliable path towards Palestinian self-determination and statehood, which we acknowledge as the aspiration of the Palestinian people."
Netanyahu claimed that he succeeded in isolating Hamas and making the entire world pressure the movement to accept the Israeli terms for ending the war in Gaza while keeping the army in most of the strip.
