EU: We are ready to contribute to the peace proposal regarding Gaza

SadaNews - The President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, confirmed that the European Union welcomes the plan of U.S. President Donald Trump regarding Gaza, pointing out that the Union is prepared to actively contribute to peace efforts.

In an official statement, von der Leyen emphasized that the European Union sees Trump's plan as a positive step towards de-escalation, asserting that "the two-state solution remains the only viable way to achieve fair and lasting peace in the region."

She added that the European Union will work with international and regional partners to support any initiative that ensures security and stability and meets the aspirations of both the Palestinian and Israeli peoples.
