Netanyahu to Western Leaders: We Will Not Allow the Establishment of a Palestinian State
SadaNews - Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated that Israel has crushed the Houthi group in Yemen, most of Hamas in Gaza, and has incapacitated Hezbollah in Lebanon, while deterring militias in Iraq.
Netanyahu added in his speech to the United Nations General Assembly, which saw a large number of delegations withdraw before Netanyahu took the stage, that remnants of Hamas still exist in the city of Gaza, "and we must complete the task as quickly as possible."
He claimed that Israel provides food to the residents of Gaza, stating, "It is Hamas that steals the aid and prevents the residents of Gaza from leaving and threatens them," he added.
Regarding the genocide committed by his country in Gaza, Netanyahu said, "If we wanted to commit genocide in the city of Gaza, we wouldn’t have asked civilians to leave it... For the past three weeks, Israel has dropped leaflets urging civilians in Gaza to leave."
Concerning Iran, the Israeli Prime Minister said it has been rapidly developing a massive nuclear and ballistic missile program, the goal of which is not only to destroy Israel but also to threaten the United States.
He called on the United Nations Security Council to renew sanctions imposed on Iran, stating that Israel has rid itself of an existential threat, "and Iran must not be allowed to rebuild its nuclear capabilities." He continued, "We have control over Iranian airspace, and our pilots have bombed uranium enrichment sites there."
During his speech, Netanyahu directed a message to Israeli captives in Gaza, saying he has surrounded Gaza with loudspeakers broadcasting his speech, and stated, "I tell the hostages in Gaza that we have not forgotten you, we will not surrender, and we will spare no effort to bring you home."
He also sent a message to Hamas leaders, stating, "Surrender your weapons and release all hostages, and if you do not do so, Israel will pursue you."
Netanyahu spoke about the recognition by several Western countries of a Palestinian state, saying, "I tell Western leaders that Israel will not allow you to work towards establishing a Palestinian state... Giving the Palestinians a state just a mile from Jerusalem after October 7 is madness that we will never accept."
