Israeli Soldier Killed by Sniper Fire in Gaza City
SadaNews - The Israeli occupation army announced this morning the death of a soldier with the rank of sergeant from the Nahal Brigade during battles in northern Gaza Strip.
Israeli media reported that the soldier was killed by sniper fire from a distance.
They added that army forces combed the area but were unable to reach the sniper despite calling for heavy fire support.
The occupation army announced yesterday that a soldier from the Givati Brigade was seriously injured after being shot at in northern Gaza Strip.
The Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of the resistance movement (Hamas), issued a warning to the Israeli occupation yesterday, stating that as the scope of what it described as criminal operations in Gaza City increases, the danger to Israeli prisoners will also increase.
Al-Qassam announced targeting two Israeli Merkava tanks with two al-Yasin 105 shells, causing casualties among their crew in the Tal al-Hawa area, southwest of Gaza City, and released images it claimed were of the destruction of a Merkava tank as part of the "Moses's Staff" operation series in the same neighborhood.
Al-Qassam also announced that its fighters shelled occupation gatherings at the Karni site east of Gaza with mortars and rockets yesterday.
For its part, the al-Quds Brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Jihad movement, announced that its fighters in the southwest of Gaza City destroyed an Israeli military vehicle by detonating an anti-tank explosive device during its incursion yesterday in the Tal al-Hawa neighborhood.
