Video of an Israeli Prisoner in Gaza Attacks Netanyahu and Appeals to Witkoff
SadaNews - An Israeli prisoner in Gaza City attacked his Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir, urging U.S. presidential envoy Steve Witkoff not to assist Netanyahu in the killing of the prisoners held by the resistance factions.
This was announced in a video released by the Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), on Monday, titled: "Due to Netanyahu's obstinacy, he has been in captivity in Gaza City for over 700 days. "
The video features prisoner Alon Oham, who called on the U.S. government to stop "supporting the mad decisions of Netanyahu in his war against the Israeli people and against Israeli prisoners," stressing that it would lead to a catastrophe for all.
The Israeli prisoner mockingly reacted to Netanyahu's televised statements, in which he claimed that "he would retrieve everyone alive among the prisoners using innovative methods," then Oham questioned, saying, "Is there anyone still believing Netanyahu?".
Alon Oham also delivered an emotional message to his family and loved ones, affirming his awareness of their suffering for him, accusing the "Ben Gvir" police of treating the families of prisoners as criminals.
However, he urged them to continue their protests and vigils, as they "give the prisoners hope and strength," accusing Netanyahu's government of trying to get rid of the prisoners.
He added, "You know that our fate is determined and these are our last days, as the Israeli prisoners have become a burden on this government," then he begged the families of the prisoners to stop them by any means.
Al-Qassam concluded the video with the hashtag "time is running out."
Last Thursday, Al-Qassam's leadership threatened Israel with a war of attrition that would cost them dearly in Gaza City, asserting that the city would become a graveyard for Israeli soldiers.
Al-Qassam's leadership - in a statement via Telegram - stated that they had prepared "an army of martyrs" and thousands of ambushes and explosive devices for Israeli forces, indicating that the start of the ground operation in Gaza and its expansion would mean that Israel would not obtain any living or dead prisoner.
Two days ago, Al-Qassam published a composite image of 47 Israeli prisoners, with each prisoner’s name "Ron Arad" written beneath their image, describing the image as a "farewell" coinciding with the commencement of the wide military operation in Gaza.
Ron Arad is an Israeli pilot who was captured in Lebanon in 1986 during a mission targeting fighters there, falling into the hands of Amal Movement and then Hezbollah, before completely disappearing.
Tel Aviv estimates that there are 48 Israeli prisoners in Gaza, among them 20 are alive, while about 11,100 Palestinians are imprisoned in its jails, suffering from torture, starvation, and medical neglect, with many of them having died, according to Palestinian and Israeli human rights and media reports.
