Axios: Netanyahu Asked Trump Administration to Pressure Egypt Over Its Actions in Sinai
SadaNews - The American Axios website reported on Saturday that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu asked President Donald Trump's administration to pressure Egypt to stop its military buildup in the Sinai Peninsula.
The site quoted a senior American official and two senior Israeli officials regarding this news.
It mentioned that a military escalation has recently been observed in Sinai, including underground facilities believed to be used for missile storage, although there is no evidence that the Egyptians are actually storing missiles there.
Israeli officials stated that Egypt has not provided a convincing explanation for the use of these facilities.
It was also noted that flight paths have been extended so that they can be used by fighter jets.
