Egypt denounces the military operation in Gaza City: Israeli arrogance brings the region to the brink of total chaos

SadaNews - Egypt warned on Tuesday evening that the region is on the "brink of a new phase of total chaos" due to "Israeli recklessness and arrogance".

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated in a statement, "Egypt strongly condemns the start of the Israeli military operation in Gaza City, which constitutes a serious escalation and a blatant violation of international humanitarian law".

It also "reflects the Israeli side’s insistence on pursuing a reckless policy that portends severe negative consequences for the situation in the occupied Palestinian territories and the entire region," according to the statement.

Egypt warned in the statement of the "catastrophic dangers of the Israeli military operations on the region".

Earlier on Tuesday, the Israeli army announced that it had "begun a ground invasion of Gaza City".

The Israeli army intensified artillery and air bombardments and explosions through armed drones, aiming to terrorize civilians and force them to flee, as part of a genocide and displacement campaign.

Egypt confirmed that the region is "on the brink of a new phase of total chaos as a result of Israeli recklessness and horrific arrogance, which will undoubtedly harm the interests of all regional and international parties without exception".

It held "international active parties responsible for the severe deterioration of the situation, and the failure to act against the crimes and genocide being committed, and the necessity of respecting human rights and the rule of law".

It called for "real steps towards ending the war on Gaza Strip and saving the lives of Palestinians".

Egypt emphasized the "serious repercussions of the Israeli military operations on the overall humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip".

It pointed out "the siege and famine imposed by Israel on the Palestinian people in the strip".

It condemned "the displacement and mistreatment of Palestinian residents accompanying the military operation".

The Israeli war on Gaza has resulted in 64,964 martyrs and 165,312 injured, most of whom are children and women, and famine has claimed the lives of 428 people, including 146 children.

Last week, Israel carried out an air assault on Qatar that failed to assassinate leaders of the "Hamas" movement, and also waged a war on Iran last June, in addition to nearly daily airstrikes on Lebanon, Syria, and Yemen.
