Zaytouna University and PALPAY Sign Strategic Partnership Agreement to Provide the University with the Latest Digital Transformation Solutions and Services

SadaNews - PALPAY, a prepaid payment systems company and part of the Palestine Bank Group, has signed a strategic partnership agreement with Zaytouna University of Science and Technology to provide the university with the latest digital transformation solutions and services.

The agreement was signed by Professor Dawood Al-Za’tari, President of Zaytouna University of Science and Technology, and Mr. Thaer Hamayel, General Manager of PALPAY, in the presence of Mr. Mousa Jabea, Chairman of the University Board, Dr. Samer Atieh, Director of Administrative and Financial Affairs, Mr. Muaweia Qawasmi, Manager of Corporate and Project Management at Arab Islamic Bank, Eyad Asfour, Manager of the Ramallah Branch of Arab Islamic Bank, and an administrative team from PALPAY, at the company’s headquarters on Tuesday, 16/9/2025.
This agreement is part of PALPAY's efforts to expand financial inclusion and provide innovative and advanced digital payment solutions, highlighting the vital role of financial technology as a supportive tool for developing the business environment and improving its efficiency. It also reflects the company’s commitment to expanding its services to include various commercial and service sectors, enhancing its competitive capabilities, and pushing towards a faster transition to a digital economy.

Under this agreement, PALPAY will provide digital payment solution services through the group's POS machines to receive payments via the "My Wallet" application and the free Visa cards associated with the application, aimed at facilitating university students and staff, especially in paying university fees. Additionally, it will incorporate and update the E-commerce feature to include all advanced technological benefits, which will eliminate the need for cash.

Professor Dawood Al-Za’tari, President of Zaytouna University of Science and Technology, expressed pride in this strategic partnership, stating: "As part of our ongoing efforts to provide innovative services and create effective electronic payment solutions that support students and facilitate their educational journey, PALPAY has granted us the ability to pay university fees through flexible and secure digital payment systems."
