President Abbas at the Doha Summit: Any infringement on any Arab or Islamic country is an infringement on all our countries and our common security
SadaNews - Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas reaffirmed the solidarity of the State of Palestine and its support for the brotherly State of Qatar in the face of the brutal Israeli aggression, emphasizing that any infringement on any Arab or Islamic country is an infringement on all our countries and our common security.
In his speech at the emergency Arab-Islamic summit in the Qatari capital, Doha, on Monday, Abbas called on the international community to fulfill its responsibilities and hold Israel accountable for its crimes and repeated aggression against our peoples and our nation, urging the adoption of practical and deterrent measures to prevent such aggressions from recurring.
The president reiterated that the key to security and stability in our region lies in stopping the war of genocide, displacement, and theft of land and funds, along with ending the Israeli occupation of the land of the State of Palestine along the 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
He confirmed that in light of the ongoing Israeli aggression against Palestine, and the repeated aggression against Arab and Islamic countries, most recently Qatar, the extreme right-wing government in Israel cannot be a partner in security and stability in our region, which necessitates a decisive Arab and Islamic stance, and intervention from the United States and the United Nations Security Council to stop these rogue practices by the occupying state.
Below is the text of President Abbas's speech:
We gather here today in Doha to stand united beside the brotherly State of Qatar, its leadership and people, announcing our full solidarity with it in the face of the brutal Israeli aggression, and affirming that any infringement on any Arab or Islamic country is an infringement on all our countries and our common security.
We strongly condemn this aggression, and we call on the international community to bear its responsibilities and hold Israel accountable for its crimes and repeated aggression against our peoples and our nation, and we urge in this regard the adoption of practical and deterrent measures to prevent such aggressions from recurring.
Leaders and heads of delegations,
We reaffirm once again that the key to security and stability in our region lies in stopping the war of genocide, displacement, and theft of land and funds, and ending the Israeli occupation of the land of the State of Palestine along the 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital.
In light of the ongoing Israeli aggression against Palestine, and the repeated aggression against Arab and Islamic countries, most recently Qatar, the extreme right-wing government in Israel cannot be a partner in security and stability in our region, which requires a decisive Arab and Islamic stance, and intervention from the United States and the United Nations Security Council to halt these rogue practices by the occupying state.
The State of Palestine highly appreciates the positions of all Arab and Islamic countries that stand with and support our people to stop the aggression, provide humanitarian aid, and rid us of the occupation, and we commend the efforts of the sisterly countries of Qatar and Egypt towards this end.
We also thank the brotherly and friendly countries participating in the International Peace Conference in New York, chaired by France and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, whose valuable efforts have resulted in achieving more international recognition for the State of Palestine and garnering international support to achieve its freedom and independence.
In conclusion, we reiterate our gratitude and appreciation to the brotherly State of Qatar, led by His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, for his wise leadership of this emergency summit and for hosting it, and thanks go to all the leaders and heads of delegations participating in this summit.
