The Israeli Army Completes Its Preparations to Occupy the City of Gaza

SadaNews - The Israeli occupation army has completed its preparations to occupy the city of Gaza and launch a large-scale ground invasion, according to Israeli reports on Sunday evening.

The Israeli public broadcasting corporation ("Kan 11") reported that the army "has completed its fighters' preparations for the most difficult phase of the 'Gideon 2 Vehicles' operation, which will soon commence for the ground invasion of the city of Gaza and its occupation."

Channel 12 also reported that the army's preparations to occupy the city of Gaza have been completed, adding that Israeli estimates indicate that 300,000 of the residents of Gaza City have been displaced so far.

In this context, the channel mentioned that the occupation army is intensifying its air raids and attacks on the city in order to force the city's residents to flee under bombardment.

This comes as the headquarters of the families of the Israeli hostages demanded, before consultations with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Sunday evening, that the ministers "do their utmost to prevent the killing of living hostages and the loss of the dead," emphasizing that it is a step of "eternal war for Netanyahu's political purposes."

Israeli security services estimate that Hamas will seek to intensify its attempts to capture soldiers during the incursion and ground operations in the city of Gaza.

They noted that the threat of capturing soldiers is not new, as such attempts have been recorded recently. However, estimates indicate that the number of attempts to capture soldiers will increase significantly, which is raising concerns among high-ranking sources in the security services.

Channel 12 quoted a security official saying, "We are preparing to start the next phase of the operation very soon, but we are leaving a window of opportunity for any decision that could lead to the release of the hostages."

According to what the Israeli public broadcasting agency "Kan 11" published on Saturday, security leaders warned the political level during a cabinet meeting held on Friday that lasted five hours, that the "Gideon 2 Vehicles" operation will lead to the death of hostages.

They also warned that the operation will take longer than what the political level is planning, possibly extending for many months, during which hostages may lose their lives, and it is uncertain whether the objectives of the operation will be achieved.
