Jordan Condemns Netanyahu's Signing of the "E1" Plan to Expand Settlements in the West Bank

SadaNews - The Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates condemned the signing of the colonial plan "E1" by the Israeli Prime Minister and his extremist racist statements regarding the prevention of the establishment of a Palestinian state.

The ministry considered this a blatant violation of international law, undermining the two-state solution, and a gross assault on the inalienable right of the Palestinian people to establish their independent, sovereign state on the borders of June 4, 1967, with its capital in occupied Jerusalem.

Spokesperson for the ministry, Fouad Majali, confirmed the kingdom's absolute rejection and condemnation of this colonial plan, and the unlawful and illegitimate Israeli unilateral actions in the occupied West Bank, which constitute a clear violation of United Nations Security Council resolutions, especially resolution 2334 that condemns all Israeli actions aimed at changing the demographic composition, character, and status of the occupied Palestinian territory since 1967 including East Jerusalem, along with the advisory opinion of the International Court of Justice, which affirmed the necessity to end the Israeli occupation and the nullification of the annexation of the occupied Palestinian territories.

Majali emphasized that Israel has no sovereignty over the occupied Palestinian land, warning against the continued actions of the extremist Israeli government in its expansionist policies and its illegal and illegitimate practices in the occupied West Bank, as well as the provocative racist statements of its Prime Minister and officials, which encourage the continuation of cycles of violence and conflict in the region, threatening regional and international peace and security.

He renewed the call for the international community to bear its legal and moral responsibilities, to compel Israel and its extremist government to stop its aggression against Gaza, its serious escalation in the occupied West Bank, and the incitement statements of its officials, and to provide the necessary protection for the Palestinian people, and fulfill their legitimate rights to establish their independent state on their national soil, as the only path to achieving just and comprehensive peace that guarantees security and stability in the region.
