Palestinian Welcome.. Bin Salman: We Activated the Arab Peace Initiative to Implement the Two-State Solution

SadaNews - Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman announced today, Wednesday, that the Kingdom has "activated the Arab Peace Initiative to implement the two-state solution," while simultaneously calling for "international action to confront the Israeli aggression" against Qatar. The comments from the Crown Prince, which represent a significant shift in Saudi diplomatic stance, were made in his first response to the attack targeting Doha yesterday.

In a notable step, Prince Mohammed bin Salman announced the revival of the Arab Peace Initiative that the Kingdom launched in 2002, considering it a practical pathway to implement the two-state solution and end the conflict.

The Crown Prince stated: "We have activated the Arab Peace Initiative to implement the two-state solution." This step serves as a clear political message to the international community that a just solution to the Palestinian issue is the foundation for stability in the region.

Commenting on the attack that targeted leaders from Hamas in Doha, the Crown Prince affirmed that "the Kingdom rejects Israel's attack on Doha," considering that "the aggression against Qatar requires international action to confront the Israeli aggression." This position reflects full Saudi solidarity with the State of Qatar following this serious development.

Prince Mohammed bin Salman also addressed several other regional issues, confirming the Kingdom's position in support of stability in the region. He indicated that Saudi Arabia "supports Syria to ensure its territorial integrity," expressing hope that "stability will be achieved in Lebanon, Yemen, and Sudan."

The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates praised the royal speech of Prince bin Salman highly.

The ministry described the positions outlined in the speech as "genuine towards our people's cause and their just and legitimate national rights."

It considered the speech a firm confirmation of the Kingdom's continued efforts to stop the aggression against the Palestinian people, the crimes of genocide, displacement, annexation, and starvation, as well as its efforts to gather broader recognitions of the State of Palestine and succeed in the two-state solution process and the outcomes of the New York conference, along with the Kingdom's courageous positions on the issues of sister Arab countries and the dangers they face and standing alongside them.

It stated: The ministry, while highly valuing the positions of the sister Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, wishes it all progress, prosperity, stability, and success in its directions in various fields.
