The government warns of the dangers of evacuation orders for the city of Gaza and calls on the international community for immediate action

SadaNews: Prime Minister Dr. Mohammad Mustafa stated at the start of the weekly Cabinet session today, Tuesday, that "the financial blockade imposed on us is the price for our political and national stances, our steadfastness, our challenge to the occupation, and our opposition to the Israeli policies and stances taken against our people everywhere. For instance, Israel is withholding hundreds of millions of shekels monthly from clearance funds due to our national stance towards our compatriots in the Gaza Strip, and we are determined to fulfill our duty towards our people".

Mustafa added: "One day, this crisis will end with the victory of our people and the end of the occupation. We are working to make the coming months better than before, thanks to the efforts of everyone, led by the President, and the steadfastness of our people on their land by all means, despite the challenges of colonization, aggression on Gaza, financial blockade, and various other methods employed by the Israeli side".

The Prime Minister expressed his deep gratitude to all countries and international organizations that have expressed their supportive stance for Palestine and our people at this particular stage, especially regarding what our families in the Gaza Strip are facing, as well as in the West Bank, including Jerusalem, appreciating these international positions and hoping they will translate into practical measures that positively reflect on the situation in the region.

Mustafa praised everyone who contributed to the successful launch of the educational process yesterday, despite the conditions on the ground and the overall economic situation, noting that it began in an ideal manner with remarkable results.

The Prime Minister pointed to the efforts made to hold the general secondary school exam for our students in the Gaza Strip born in 2006, which commenced the day before yesterday, despite the ongoing situation and the continuous war every hour and minute on our families in the Gaza Strip, with about 27,000 students participating in this process, coinciding with the launch of the academic year in the sector through electronic education. All of this serves as another testament to the resilience of our people and their challenge to the circumstances, as well as their desire for knowledge by all possible means, expressing gratitude on this occasion to the teams of the Ministry of Education and to everyone who contributed to the success of this effort's launch in the beloved Gaza Strip.

Additionally, the Cabinet strongly condemned the crimes of the occupation in the Gaza Strip, warning of the dangers of evacuation orders for the city of Gaza, which carry the risk of forcibly displacing hundreds of thousands and exacerbating the humanitarian tragedy, calling on the international community to assume its responsibilities and take immediate practical measures to stop the ongoing crimes and end the disaster that has persisted for two years.

The Cabinet also warned of the escalation of the policy of collective punishment adopted by the occupation army in various areas of the West Bank, especially in villages northwest of Jerusalem, stressing that these practices will only deepen the crisis and complicate the conditions on the ground and humanitarian aspects. The Cabinet affirmed that lessons from recent and distant history have proven the failure of policies of home demolitions, closures, and terrorizing civilians to achieve security for any party, and have instead contributed to fueling instability in the region.

The Cabinet also approved the allocation of a number of government lands for the purpose of building schools in several governorates.

As for following up on the situation of a number of our people who arrived from the Gaza Strip for treatment about two years ago and have been granted recovery by God's grace, the government has worked to secure a monthly rent allowance of 1500 shekels for each family for a period of 3 months. Some families have managed to move to new residences, while efforts continue with the remaining families to transition them from hotel accommodation over the past two years to suitable residential apartments, providing what is possible for their other essential needs.

The Cabinet also approved the formation of a committee to govern and regulate the trade of gold across borders, as well as approving a final financial settlement agreement between the government and the Tubas Electrical Company. Additionally, work is to continue on the water network development project in the Samou area in Hebron.
