The Occupation Army Acknowledges the Death of an Officer with the Rank of Lieutenant in the Jabalia Operation
SadaNews - The Israeli occupation army acknowledged today, Tuesday, the death of an officer with the rank of lieutenant in the Jabalia operation in the Gaza Strip yesterday, after Israeli military sources mentioned that 4 soldiers were killed by the explosion of a bomb in a tank in the northern sector.
Israeli sites reported earlier that the four soldiers were killed in an operation carried out by the Palestinian resistance on Monday morning in Jabalia, northern Gaza Strip.
According to the "Hadshot Bzman" website, the operation took place around five in the morning, where a bomb was thrown at the crew of an Israeli tank, followed by gunfire directed at the tank commander.
The operation resulted in the tank catching fire and the death of all its crew members, according to the same site.
Israeli sources indicated that the operation took place despite the state of maximum alert among Israeli forces, in preparation for plans to invade and occupy the city of Gaza as part of "Gideon's Chariots 2" operation.
The Israeli army is currently carrying out extensive destruction operations in the city of Gaza, bombing the remaining multi-storey buildings to evacuate the residents.
For its part, the Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), launched "Moses's Staff" operations to confront the occupation forces, targeting a number of tanks, vehicles, and troop concentrations in several areas, especially the Zaytoun neighborhood in southern Gaza City and Jabalia in the northern sector.
