Trump: I believe we will reach an agreement on Gaza very soon

SadaNews - President Donald Trump stated that he believes it is possible to reach an agreement on Gaza very soon. This came after he announced what he described as the acceptance of his terms by the Israelis, and that he had given a "final warning to Hamas to accept the deal" for the release of the Israeli hostages.

He added, in remarks to reporters, that Washington wants to "find a solution to this problem for the benefit of the Middle East, Israel, and all parties involved."

Earlier, Trump said in a post on the Truth Social platform that the Israelis had accepted the terms of his proposal and that it is now Hamas's turn to agree.

Trump warned Hamas of what he described as the consequences of rejecting the terms of the proposal. He considered this to be the last warning, and there would be no further warnings.

The American president noted that "everyone wants the hostages from Gaza to return home and for the war to end."

Axios reported that the U.S. envoy to the Middle East, Steve Wittekov, sent a new proposal to Hamas regarding the "hostages agreement" and a ceasefire last week.

Axios cited two sources stating that the new proposal includes a comprehensive solution for the release of all prisoners in exchange for ending the war in Gaza.

The site added that the new proposal aims to find a diplomatic solution before the Israeli operation to occupy the city of Gaza.

On the other hand, the official broadcasting authority and Channel 12 in Israel indicated that the proposal carried by the American envoy includes fundamental changes compared to previous initiatives. Its terms stipulate:

The release of all Israeli prisoners in Gaza, numbering 48, including 20 alive and the bodies of 28 deceased, on the first day of the deal's implementation.

In return, hundreds of Palestinian prisoners with high sentences, in addition to thousands of other detainees, will be released.

The cessation of Operation "Gideon 2" launched by the Israeli army at the beginning of September to completely occupy the city of Gaza.

Opening a new negotiation track personally managed by Trump to reach a deal that completely ends the war.

The proposal requires Hamas to rely on Trump's promises to end the war, assuming that Israel will find it difficult to continue fighting domestically and externally after the release of the prisoners.
