
The Government Call Center Monitors the Most Important Interventions Implemented by the Government During the Last Week
SadaNews - The Government Call Center issued a report today, Sunday, highlighting the most important developmental and reform interventions implemented by the Palestinian government during the past week (31/08/2025 – 06/09/2025), as follows:
Prime Minister Mohammad Mustafa stated during the last weekly session of the Council of Ministers: "The mandate is not only to restore unity between Gaza and the West Bank, but also to rebuild Gaza and bring it back to life." He also appreciated the international stances that support Palestine, the latest of which is the intention of Belgium and Croatia to recognize the State of Palestine, in addition to a group of countries that announced their intention to recognize during the meetings of the United Nations General Assembly this month. These international movements demonstrate that the position and political direction taken by President Mahmoud Abbas are continually achieving further cumulative accomplishments, culminating in the significant achievement of establishing the independent State of Palestine with its capital in Jerusalem Al-Sharif.
The Ministry of Social Development implemented a series of integrated interventions and services across all its directorates, benefiting 12,742 families through various assistance totalling 2,516,360 shekels, which included school bags, food supplies, baby milk, diapers, cash assistance, furniture, household items, and clothing. The ministry also opened a branch office in Beit Liqya.
The ministry provided 88 new health insurance renewals from a total of 54,000 beneficiary cards and implemented over 175 interventions for persons with disabilities, which included customs exemptions, medical referrals, supportive devices, home visits, and case follow-ups.
Additionally, the ministry executed 118 interventions to support and serve the elderly and 140 interventions in the women's department out of 1,500 cases, including case conferences, field visits, legal support, and advisory sessions.
In the field of childhood, the ministry performed 241 interventions to follow up on new cases and 245 interventions for juveniles, which included interviews, follow-ups, and protection mediations, in addition to 42 interventions in nurseries that involved following up on files, renewing and granting licenses, and conducting field visits. The ministry also followed up on 36 interventions for associations that involved networking with the local community and purchasing services, and executed 40 economic empowerment interventions to support nearly 1,000 projects through field visits, new registrations, and nominations for beneficiaries of these projects.
The Ministry of Local Government completed the seventh phase of the circular road project in Tamoun at a cost of 247,000 euros, built additional classrooms in Attil Secondary School for 280,000 euros, rehabilitated internal roads in Saida, Tulkarem at a cost of 80,000 euros, established a public service center in Al-Swahra Al-Sharqiya at a cost of 44,000 euros, provided a solar cell system in Burqin, Jenin at a cost of 50,000 euros, reinforced the electricity network east of Dhannaba suburb in Tulkarem, and completed financial settlements at Halhul Municipality and the councils of Janin and Rummaneh, bringing the total number of bodies that completed their settlements to 104 bodies.
The Energy Authority and the Southern Electricity Company launched a project in Yatta to address the severe shortage of electricity, funded by the World Bank under the "ASPIRE" program. An agreement was also signed to enhance solar energy projects and establish a medium voltage line to support networks.
Moreover, the Energy Authority granted a temporary license to establish a solar energy project with a capacity of 3.5 megawatts in Hebron, and held discussions with the Specifications and Standards Authority to enhance cooperation and ensure the quality of energy systems, including solar energy, batteries, and electric vehicles.
The Ministry of Agriculture distributed 50 water tanks with a capacity of 1500 liters to affected farmers in the village of Al-Mughayyir, north of Ramallah, as part of the emergency response project. The ministry also received the presidential decree to allocate 25 dunams of land in Al-Nuwaima, Jericho, and the Jordan Valley for establishing centers for collecting, cooling, packaging, and shipping export crops.
The ministry signed a cooperation agreement with Beit Kahil Municipality to establish a national park covering 271 dunams in Wadi Al-Qaf, attended by the Ministers of Agriculture, Local Government, and the Land Authority. The ministry also held a specialized workshop on olive oil presses in Jenin, attended by 25 press owners, and another for 12 farmers in Battir, Bethlehem, as part of a project supported by the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO). Additionally, it conducted a training workshop in northern Hebron targeting 20 farmers as part of the "A Beam of Hope for the Children of Palestine" project in partnership with the Palestinian Center for Economic and Social Development. The Higher Committee for the 2025 Olive Campaign held its first meeting to approve the comprehensive plan supporting farmers during the olive season.
The Ministry of Public Works opened the "Al-Hasamese" bypass road connecting Sufiin to Qalqilya, stretching 2.3 km with a width of 12-16m, at a cost of 1.4 million dollars funded by the Arab Bank for Economic Development in Africa under the management of the Islamic Development Bank. Additionally, it paved a section of the road linking Azoun and Kafr Thulth, and implemented rehabilitation work for the main Yatta-Hebron road.
The interventions also included opening and leveling the entrance of Tulkarem camp, cleaning channels and valleys in Qalqiliya and Jenin in preparation for winter, installing road furniture and painting curbs in Qalqiliya, along with maintaining the Attil road in Tulkarem and pouring concrete shoulders on the Jalzoun-Dura Qaree road.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs led a diplomatic tour that included Italy, San Marino, the Vatican, Lithuania, and Egypt to enhance political and humanitarian support and broaden the recognition of the State of Palestine.
She met with displaced individuals in Egypt and the Secretary-General of the Arab League and held talks in Italy regarding the two-state solution, visiting the wounded. Meanwhile, Umbria announced its recognition of Palestine. In the Vatican, San Marino, and Lithuania, she addressed the Israeli assaults and the rights of Palestinians and reinforced humanitarian cooperation. The ministry issued statements condemning the occupation and calling on the international community to impose sanctions and activate Chapter Seven, welcoming Belgium's stance on recognizing Palestine and the UAE's position rejecting annexation.
The Ministry of Education and Higher Education launched the secondary school exam in the Gaza Strip for those born in 2006, with approximately 27,000 students participating, and announced the results of the second session. The minister also discussed the "Supporting Universities for Skills, Transformation, and Innovation" project with "GIZ," and the ministry launched four research studies directed at policies.
Furthermore, the ministry announced the results of the scouting and guiding competitions for the year 2024/2025 and the national competition for the World Robotics Olympics in partnership with the Belgian Agency.
It organized a meeting for accepted students in medical scholarships in Cuba, held a workshop on employing artificial intelligence in scientific research, and launched with the Al-Qasaba Theatre and Cinematics the second university theatre festival with the participation of seven local universities.
The Ministry of Health implemented a series of interventions to strengthen the health system, which included a meeting with the Norwegian ambassador to discuss support for the health sector, signing a memorandum of understanding with the World Food Programme to combat malnutrition among women and children, especially in Gaza, a meeting held by the minister and the deputy governor of Salfit to discuss improving services and expanding the capacity of medical facilities and resuming work on a 24-hour basis in some centers, in addition to a meeting with the Princess Basma Center in Jerusalem to enhance rehabilitation services for children with disabilities and ensure continued care.
The Ministry of Transport and Communications held meetings with unions to develop the public transport system by introducing smart applications, with municipalities to improve complexes, and with universities to sign memoranda of understanding and provide facilities for employees.
Furthermore, it continued to supervise its offices in areas adjacent to settlements to facilitate services, prepared the statistical report on its services until June 2025, studied nine plans for new roads, 15 for amending existing roads, and four for transportation professions sites, and included 27 establishments in the geographic database.
The Ministry of Jerusalem Affairs participated in signing agreements to support 93 agricultural households funded by the Arab Organization for Agricultural Development, which included establishing 20 wells for collecting rainwater, installing 23 smart irrigation networks, and providing 50 water tanks. It participated in a meeting to discuss the project of establishing a public transport station in the town of Al-Ram to improve transport services, and implemented a field tour with the "We Are the World" Organization in the Khlaileh neighborhood and the villages of Nabi Samwil and Beit Aksa to assess the needs of residents, in addition to a meeting with the Municipal Lending Fund to support villages and improve infrastructure in the suburbs of Jerusalem.
The Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation oversees the comprehensive national spatial development plan 2050 approved by the Cabinet in its session No. (75), as a strategic document aimed at achieving balanced urban, economic, and social development, taking into account environmental sustainability and cultural heritage protection. The minister held meetings with representatives from Denmark and Belgium to follow up on funded projects and develop cooperation, as well as a meeting with the mayor of Ramallah to discuss infrastructure projects and improve services.
The Minister of Tourism and Antiquities inspected the town of Turmusayya and the village of Al-Mughayyir, north of Ramallah, to understand their archaeological conditions. The ministry launched survey work in Tel Sultan in Jericho in preparation for the restoration project of the Stone Age tower and developing the reception building, along with a program to document earthen buildings in Jericho to preserve the architectural heritage. It is working to activate historical sites in the old city of Hebron and enhance the steadfastness of its residents, organizing cultural and tourism activities in Jenin and tours for visitors and guides in Nablus. The ministry also conducted joint tours with the Tourism and Antiquities Police to monitor and protect archaeological facilities and sites.
The Ministry of Women's Affairs implemented two training workshops on communication skills and digital transformation, and praised the efforts of the Forum to Combat Violence Against Women in supporting deserving groups. The ministry continued its partnership with "GIZ" and "AECID" to support economic empowerment and prepare a policy paper on unpaid work, participated in preparing a guide for small projects, and the Ministry of Planning approved three projects in the fields of economic empowerment, combating violence, and digital transformation.
It executed trainings with Save the Children Foundation to produce child-friendly content and discussed a study on the conditions of displaced women, alongside planning with the General Union of Women for a project to empower women’s institutions.
The Minister of Interior visited Jenin and met with the governor, security apparatus directors, and reconciliation committees and families in dispute to resolve tribal conflicts. He inspected the Martyr Khalil Suleiman Hospital and Jenin Municipality to review infrastructure projects, visited the headquarters of the Fatah Movement region, and received a German parliament member to discuss the humanitarian situation in Gaza.
The ministry emphasized the need to monitor rumors and urged citizens to rely on official sources, and signed a cooperation agreement with the Municipality of Ya'abun to prepare an Interior office serving the villages west of Jenin.
The Environmental Quality Authority carried out interventions that included following up on 11 environmental complaints and granting three approvals for broadcasting stations and an industrial facility, conducting 37 inspections and collecting water samples from Siliman ponds to test their quality, along with returning three Israeli trucks loaded with waste in cooperation with the customs enforcement. It also continued to hold consultative workshops on the draft environmental law to promote community participation, completed the environmental empowerment program for women’s associations, and conducted lectures at Al-Istiklal University and awareness programs on environmental security and cellular broadcasting towers. The head of the Environmental Authority participated in a graduation ceremony for the diploma in legislative drafting.
The Minister of Culture participated in the Chandi 2025 summit in Indonesia and signed a cultural cooperation agreement with his Indonesian counterpart. The ministry also launched the Little Creator Award and a digital drawing competition to combat corruption, organized various activities in the governorates, including workshops for children in Jericho, a book signing ceremony for the novel "Al-Bardaqana" in Hebron, and a "Challenge" camp for persons with disabilities in Tubas, along with a seminar entitled "Reading Makes Leaders" in Tulkarem, storytelling activities in Qalqilya, and national mural work in Burin, Nablus, and technical workshops in Bethlehem, in addition to exhibitions and activities related to Jerusalem in Salfit.
The Official Journal Bureau held a conference for the "Graduation of the First Batch of the Diploma in Legislative Drafting and Analysis" under the patronage of the Prime Minister and in cooperation with Al-Istiklal University, in addition to providing the legislations published in issue (229) of the "Palestinian Facts" through the electronic reference to facilitate their access to citizens.
The Ministry of Justice, on behalf of the government, condemned the American sanctions on three Palestinian human rights institutions, considering them an attack on civil society. The minister participated in the graduation ceremony of the first batch of the professional diploma in "Legislative Drafting and Analysis," and the ministry organized training for monitoring teams in correction centers to enhance follow-up on the conditions of inmates and ensure compliance with national and international standards.
The Land Authority delivered a land allocation to Ramallah Municipality, amounting to 7,577 m2 for the Ministry of Local Government and for the benefit of Ramallah Municipality for the purpose of establishing a park on it, and an allocation for a piece of land in Jericho in favor of the Ministry of Agriculture of 25 dunams from Al-Nuwaima lands to enhance foreign trade and organize work there, and an allocation for the Refugee Affairs Department in Nablus from the lands of Northern Assira for the benefit of the Popular Committee of Aida Camp for the purpose of establishing a public garden.
The Ministry of Labor distributed the 18th batch of cash assistance to 4,596 workers from Gaza and the patients and their companions residing in the West Bank, at a value of 700 shekels for each worker.
The Ministry of Labor held a unified evaluation exam for 466 male and female trainees in its vocational training centers, aiming to support self-employment.
