Egypt: Describing the Displacement of Palestinians as Voluntary is "Nonsense"

SadaNews - Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdel Atty asserted on Saturday that Israel is obstructing the entry of humanitarian aid trucks into the Gaza Strip.

He clarified: Israel is hindering the entry of humanitarian aid trucks into the Gaza Strip, adding: "Israel uses starvation as a weapon of war in Gaza."

The Egyptian Foreign Minister stated: "We kept the Rafah crossing open while Israel closes it from the Palestinian side."

He added: "We continue efforts to facilitate the entry of humanitarian aid into Gaza."

The Egyptian Foreign Minister called on Israel to accept Steve Whitcoff's proposal for a ceasefire in Gaza.

Abdel Atty emphasized that "Egypt refuses to participate in any injustice against the Palestinian people and rejects displacement to prevent the liquidation of the Palestinian cause."

The Egyptian Foreign Minister described the characterization of the displacement of Palestinians as voluntary as "nonsense."

The minister mentioned: "We have stated that the issue of displacement is a red line for Jordan, Egypt, and Arab countries, and it will not be allowed under any circumstances... If there is a man-made famine, it is to push the residents out of their land; it is nonsense to say that there is voluntary displacement."

Earlier, Israel urged the residents of Gaza City to move south as its forces advanced into the largest urban area in the sector.
