Barham confirms: The school year in the West Bank governorates starts the day after tomorrow
SadaNews - Minister of Education Amjad Barham stated today, Saturday, that the new school year in the West Bank governorates will commence the day after tomorrow, Monday.
During a press conference held to announce the start of the Tawjihi (secondary school) exams for students from Gaza born in 2006, Barham addressed the significant challenges facing the education sector, due to the hijacking of tax funds.
The school year was originally scheduled to begin last week, but it was postponed due to the ongoing repercussions of the financial crisis affecting the State of Palestine as a result of the continued Israeli occupation and economic blockade; the hijacking of Palestinian clearance funds; and the implications of this on the preparedness to start the school year on the originally set date, which was the beginning of this month.
