The Arab Parliament Condemns Netanyahu's Statements Regarding the Displacement of the Palestinian People from the Gaza Strip and Considers Them an Extension of Ethnic Cleansing Policy

SadaNews - The Arab Parliament condemned the statements of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who openly called for the displacement of the Palestinian people from the Gaza Strip through the Rafah crossing, considering these statements an extension of the ethnic cleansing and forced displacement policies that the occupation has pursued for decades.

The President of the Arab Parliament, Mohammed Al-Yamahi, affirmed that the parliament views these invalid and rejected calls as a gross violation of international law and international humanitarian law, as well as the Geneva Conventions and relevant United Nations resolutions. They also represent a blatant infringement on the right of the Palestinian people to remain on their land and establish their independent sovereign state, and they pose a direct threat to international peace and security.

He emphasized that forced displacement is a complete war crime that is not subject to statute of limitations, and the Palestinian people are steadfast in their land and will not accept any dubious projects aimed at uprooting them from their homeland.

Al-Yamahi reiterated the Arab Parliament's unequivocal rejection of all attempts at displacement being pursued by the occupying entity in the Gaza Strip, the West Bank, or any part of the occupied Palestinian territory, and its rejection of any attempts to liquidate the Palestinian cause. He also affirmed the parliament's full support for the Arab position that rejects displacement from the Gaza Strip and attempts to liquidate the Palestinian cause.

He called on the international community, the Security Council, and the United Nations to bear their legal, moral, and humanitarian responsibilities to stop these serious violations and put an end to the racist incitement speech issued by the leaders of the occupation. He urged the necessary international protection for the Palestinian people and serious work to enable them to exercise their legitimate right to self-determination and establish their independent sovereign state, as it is the only way to achieve comprehensive and just peace that ensures security and stability in the region.
