Spanish Prime Minister Calls for Suspension of Partnership between the EU and Israel

SadaNews - Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez said: "We call within the European Union for the suspension of the strategic partnership between the Union and Israel."

The Guardian quoted the Spanish Prime Minister as saying: "Europe's response to the Gaza war has been a failure."

He continued: "The double standards regarding Gaza threaten to undermine the global standing of the West."

He stated that the United States, led by Trump, is trying to end the global order established after World War II.

Sánchez added: "We are pleased that European countries are joining Spain in recognizing a Palestinian state, but Europe's response has been weak."

He concluded: "EU countries are divided on how to influence Israel and this is unacceptable."
