Houthi Rebels Announce Assassination of Their Prime Minister and Several Ministers in Israeli Attack on Yemen
SadaNews - The Houthis announced this evening, Saturday, the assassination of their Prime Minister Ahmad Ghaleb Al-Ruhai and several ministers, along with injuries to others, in the Israeli attack that targeted the Yemeni capital, Sana'a, the day before yesterday, Thursday.
This came in a statement issued by the Yemeni presidency affiliated with the Houthis, which stated: "We announce the martyrdom of Ahmad Ghaleb Al-Ruhai, Prime Minister of the Change and Construction Government, along with several of his ministerial colleagues last Thursday."
It stated that Israel targeted the Prime Minister and several ministers "during a regular workshop held by the government to assess its activity and performance over the past year."
The Houthi presidency indicated that "several ministers were injured with moderate and serious injuries as a result of the Israeli aggression, and they are under medical care."
It added that "the government will perform its duties in the context of managing affairs, and the institutions will continue to provide services to the Yemeni people and will not be affected regardless of the magnitude of the loss."
The Houthi presidency stated: "We affirm to our people, to the oppressed Palestinian people, to all members of our nation, and to all the free people in the world, that we continue our principled stance to support and advocate for the people of Gaza."
It concluded its statement by saying: "We are continuing to build our armed forces and develop their capabilities to face all challenges and dangers, as is the stance of our Yemeni people present in all fields and arenas."
