Sheikh Conducts Intensive Contacts to Discuss the U.S. Administration's Decision Against the Palestinian Delegation
SadaNews - The Vice President of the State of Palestine and Deputy Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization, Hussein Sheikh, conducted a series of intensive contacts following the U.S. administration's decision to deny the Palestinian delegation entry visas to New York to participate in the United Nations General Assembly meetings.
Sheikh engaged in discussions with the U.S. administration, Saudi Arabia, France, Britain, Egypt, Jordan, and the United Nations to explore the U.S. administration's decision.
He emphasized that the decision contradicts international law and the "Headquarters Agreement," especially since the State of Palestine is a non-member observer state at the United Nations, and called for a reconsideration and reversal of the decision, particularly since the State of Palestine has reaffirmed its commitment to international law, international legitimacy resolutions, and all its obligations towards peace, as stated in President Mahmoud Abbas's letter to all the world's leaders, including President Donald Trump.
