Abu Rdeineh: The delivery of the third batch of weapons from within the Palestinian camps in Beirut to the Lebanese army
SadaNews - The official spokesperson for the presidency, Nabil Abu Rdeineh, stated that the relevant Palestinian authorities in Lebanon delivered, today Friday, the third batch of weapons of the Palestine Liberation Organization located in the Palestinian camps in the Lebanese capital Beirut, namely: Burj el-Barajneh, Mar Elias, and Shatila, to the Lebanese army as a custody (deposit).
Abu Rdeineh added that this came based on the presidential statement issued by the President of the State of Palestine Mahmoud Abbas and the Lebanese President General Joseph Aoun on May 21.
He pointed out that both sides agreed to form a joint Lebanese-Palestinian committee to follow up on the conditions of the Palestinian camps in Lebanon and work to improve the living and humanitarian conditions of the refugees, with respect for Lebanese sovereignty and adherence to Lebanese laws.
Abu Rdeineh indicated that both sides affirmed their commitment to provide the humanitarian, social, and economic rights of Palestinian refugees in Lebanon, ensuring them a dignified life without infringing on their right of return or affecting their national identity.
He confirmed that both sides emphasized their commitment to the principle of the exclusivity of arms in the hands of the Lebanese state over all its territory, and the need to put an end to any acts contrary to that, as well as the importance of respecting Lebanon's sovereignty, independence, and territorial integrity.
