Military Decisions to Seize Land for Settlement in East Qalqilya
SadaNews - The Israeli occupation authorities issued two military orders today, Thursday, to seize land from the village of Jinsafut, east of Qalqilya.
According to the Settlement Affairs Directorate in Qalqilya Governorate, the two military orders aim to seize approximately 16 dunams to create new colonial roads; the first is to connect the settlement "Yakir" with the settlement "Qarni Shmuron," and the second is to connect the settlement "Immanuel" with the settlement "Qarni Shmuron," which are located on the lands of the villages of "Jinsafut, Amatin, Kafr Laqif, Farata, and Diristiya," thereby enhancing the network of bypass roads designated to serve the settlements that are established on the lands of citizens in the area.
The directorate added that these decisions will deprive about 150 farmers from accessing their agricultural lands, even if they obtain permits from the occupation authorities, under the pretext that the lands are adjacent to colonial roads which are prohibited to approach.
