The White House Hosts Important Meeting on Gaza's Future as Israeli Minister Arrives in Washington

Sada News - The American site "Axios" reported, citing two informed sources, that former British Prime Minister Tony Blair and Jared Kushner, son-in-law of U.S. President Donald Trump and his former advisor during his first term, will participate in a meeting about Gaza at the White House today, Wednesday.

The sources, who were not named by the site, stated that Blair and Kushner will present ideas to the U.S. president regarding a plan for the post-war phase in the Gaza Strip.

The sources clarified that Blair and Kushner will also discuss ideas on "how to manage Gaza without (the Hamas) movement in power."

They noted that U.S. President's envoy to the Middle East, Steve Witkoff, has been in contact with Kushner and Blair for months to discuss a post-war plan for Gaza, and that the former prime minister met with Witkoff at the White House last July, on the same day that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu met with Trump.

Blair also met with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas days later and briefed him on the proposals for the day after the war in Gaza and the discussions he had in Washington, while Kushner visited Israel and met with Netanyahu to discuss the Gaza file, according to "Axios."

The news site quoted U.S. officials as saying that today's meeting with Trump regarding Gaza will also focus on an American plan to expand the scale of humanitarian aid to the sector.

One official stated that it is a "expansion of the food plan, in terms of quantity, distribution mechanism, and the number of people who can be served," adding that Trump's instructions were clear in this matter: "Solve this problem."

The meeting, chaired by Trump, comes in the wake of his remarks about the necessity of ending the war.

Witkoff described the meeting as "important," confirming that he is "working on putting together a comprehensive plan for the day after the end of the war" in the devastated Palestinian sector, due to the ongoing war between Israel and "Hamas" for nearly two years.

Trump stated to reporters on Wednesday, before the meeting, that "there is no decisive solution to the war in Gaza at the moment, and we hope it will be soon," following his assertion that the Israeli war on Gaza will witness a "good and decisive end" within two or three weeks, pointing out that "there is a very serious diplomatic push regarding the Palestinian sector, and there is a necessity for the Gaza war to end due to the hunger and death it causes," according to what "Reuters" reported.

Meanwhile, the Hebrew channel Reshet Kan reported that Israeli Minister of Strategic Affairs Ron Dermer met with officials at the White House before the meeting to discuss the war in Gaza.

Dermer's visit to Washington was not announced in advance.

According to Channel 13 in Hebrew, as translated by Sada News, there is an attempt to formulate a joint proposal between Israel and America regarding ending the war in Gaza.
