EU: Killing of journalists, healthcare workers, and civilians by Israel is absolutely unacceptable
SadaNews - The official spokesperson for the European Union stated today, Tuesday, that the killing of five journalists, four healthcare workers, and several civilians in Gaza yesterday due to an Israeli airstrike targeting Al-Nasser Hospital, which resulted in the deaths of at least 20 individuals, is absolutely unacceptable.
He added in a statement that civilians and journalists must be protected under international law, reiterating his call for Israel to respect international humanitarian law and ensure an investigation into these attacks. The European Union commented on Israel's statement that a thorough investigation will be conducted, stating: A very large number of casualties have fallen in this conflict.
The European Union expressed its solidarity with the victims' families, the journalism community, and all civilians in Gaza who continue to pay the heavy price.
