11 Deaths Due to Famine and Malnutrition in the Last 24 Hours
SadaNews - The Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip announced today, Monday, that 11 citizens, including two children, have died due to famine and malnutrition, as recorded by hospitals in the Gaza Strip over the past 24 hours.
It reported that the total number of victims of famine and malnutrition has risen to 300 martyrs, including 117 children.
It is noted that the humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip continues to worsen amid the blockade and shortages of food and medical supplies, as severe famine overlaps with a genocide being carried out by Israel since October 7, 2023.
Since March 2, 2025, the occupying authorities have closed all crossings with the Strip and are preventing the entry of most food and medical aid, causing famine to spread within the area.
The United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) had warned that malnutrition among children under five had doubled between March and June due to the ongoing blockade.
The World Health Organization confirmed that malnutrition rates in Gaza have reached worrying levels, and that the deliberate blockade and delayed aid have resulted in many lives lost, with nearly one in five children under five in Gaza City suffering from acute malnutrition.
