Hamas: Netanyahu is obstructing the agreement and insists on continuing the aggression against Gaza
SadaNews - Hamas accused Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Sunday of working to obstruct reaching an agreement on prisoner exchange and a ceasefire in Gaza, asserting that his endorsement of the plan to occupy Gaza came immediately after the movement agreed to the proposal from the mediators.
The movement stated in a statement that it agreed to a "partial deal and expressed its readiness for a comprehensive agreement, but Netanyahu refuses all solutions," indicating that "Israeli and American acknowledgments confirm that Netanyahu is the real obstructionist of the exchange deals and the ceasefire."
It added that the statements from former U.S. State Department spokesperson Matthew Miller revealed that "Netanyahu has been stalling and lying, setting new conditions whenever the agreement approached completion," aiming to continue the war for political reasons.
Hamas emphasized that "a ceasefire is the only way to secure the release of the Israeli prisoners held by resistance factions in the sector, and Netanyahu bears full responsibility for the fate of the living prisoners in the hands of the resistance."
The movement considered that "over twenty-two months of aggression have proven the illusion of the absolute victory that war criminals Netanyahu, Ben Gvir, and Smotrich promote," calling for continued official and popular pressures to stop the "genocide and starvation" against the Palestinian people.
