UAE Condemns Israeli Settlement and Military Escalation in Gaza
SadaNews - The United Arab Emirates expressed its strong condemnation and denunciation of the new Israeli settlement plan in the occupied West Bank and the ongoing large-scale military operations in the Gaza Strip.
The UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs asserted in a statement that these practices represent serious violations of international law and relevant international legitimacy resolutions, and pose a grave threat to regional and international efforts aimed at achieving a just and comprehensive peace and establishing an independent Palestinian state. It warned of the disastrous consequences of the continued aggression and the resulting escalation of humanitarian suffering and threats to the security and stability of the region.
The United Arab Emirates reiterated its demand for an immediate halt to settlement activities and military operations, and called on the international community to assume its responsibilities in stopping these violations, and in working to launch a serious political path that leads to a just, comprehensive, and lasting peace, based on international legitimacy resolutions.
