He pointed out that his forces have begun operations on the outskirts of Gaza City and that additional forces will join them later.
He said: "Our main mission is to free the captives and defeat Hamas, and we will not rest or stop until we achieve that, for our future."
He added: "We have dealt Hamas a severe blow, transforming it from a terrorist army as witnessed on October 7 into a guerrilla organization," as he described it. He continued: "We will continue to strike Hamas everywhere, and we will pursue them as long as necessary and wherever necessary."
