Israeli Special Forces Arrest Journalist Muath Ammarnehs Near Bethlehem
SadaNews - Israeli special forces arrested injured journalist Muath Ammarneh this evening, Wednesday, while he was passing through the road connecting the cities of Bethlehem and Hebron.
Local sources reported that a special force intercepted Ammarneh's vehicle on the aforementioned road, proceeded to arrest him, and transport him to an unknown location.
It is noteworthy that occupation forces fired rubber-coated steel bullets at Ammarneh on November 15, 2019, while he was covering clashes in the town of Surif, northwest of Hebron, which resulted in an injury to his left eye, leading to its removal and the presence of shrapnel in his brain, despite him wearing the press uniform.
On October 16, 2023, occupation forces arrested journalist Ammarneh, and on the 29th of the same month, he was subjected to administrative detention, accompanied by complete medical neglect of his specific health condition resulting from his injury, along with having diabetes. He was released on July 9, 2024, after spending 9 months in detention.
