Trump Meets Zelensky at the White House
SadaNews - During his meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky at the White House on Monday evening, U.S. President Donald Trump stated, "A peace agreement can be reached, even while fighting continues," regarding the Russian-Ukrainian war.
The American president mentioned, "We have made significant progress and held a good meeting with (Russian President, Vladimir) Putin."
While speaking alongside the Ukrainian president, Trump said, "It is an honor for us to have Zelensky with us. We have made progress, conducted new negotiations, and held a very important meeting today."
He added, "I expect things to go well, and there is a chance to end the war," adding, "I believe President Putin wants to end the war."
Trump continued, "We want to end the war in a way that serves everyone's interests, and we will work with Russia and Ukraine to achieve a successful and sustainable peace."
He noted that "the war will end, and the Ukrainian and Russian presidents want that."
Trump said, "We talked about security guarantees, and Europe will be the first line of defense for Ukraine."
