France condemns the destruction of an under-construction school by the occupation in northern West Bank
SadaNews - France has strongly condemned the Israeli authorities' destruction of a school under construction in northern West Bank, funded by the French Development Agency in cooperation with the European Union.
The French Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated in a statement that it requests the Israeli authorities to justify the demolition process.
It added that the continuation of settlement policy represents a serious violation of international law and threatens the prospect of a two-state solution.
This school, which is being built as part of the rural development program of the French Development Agency, was expected to host nearly a hundred Palestinian children soon.
This marks the second time a project funded by the French Development Agency has been destroyed in the West Bank, not to mention the destruction of the Al-Bustan Association center in East Jerusalem, which is supported by the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs and 21 local and regional French authorities.
The continuation of settlement policy represents a serious violation of international law and threatens the prospect of a two-state solution.
