Hundreds of Thousands Demonstrate in Israel Demanding an End to the Aggression on Gaza
SadaNews - Hundreds of thousands of Israelis demonstrated this evening, Sunday, in dozens of towns and cities across Israel, particularly in Tel Aviv, demanding an end to the aggression on Gaza and ensuring the return of the captives.
Ministers and officials in the occupation government launched an attack on these protests, while the demonstrators accused Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of deceiving the public, misleading public opinion, and disrespecting the families of the hostages.
Several streets in Tel Aviv and other cities witnessed extensive closures, as protesters closed the "Ayalon" highway heading north near the "Rokach" interchange this morning, causing severe traffic congestion. Drivers also slowed down near the "Halhah" interchange to create traffic jams, coinciding with the closure of dozens of streets across Israel.
The Israeli police announced the arrest of 38 protesters, on charges of "disturbing the public order" during sporadic protests.
It is worth noting that Israel has been witnessing a wide-ranging strike since the morning hours, accompanied by massive demonstrations as part of what has been dubbed "Protest Week," demanding an end to the war on Gaza and ensuring the return of the hostages.
