The Death Toll from the Occupation's Aggression on Gaza Rises to 61,944 Martyrs and 155,886 Injured
SadaNews - The Ministry of Health in Gaza announced today, Sunday, that the death toll in Gaza has risen to 61,944, the majority of whom are children and women, since the start of the Israeli occupation's aggression on October 7, 2023.
The ministry added that the number of injured has reached 155,886 since the beginning of the aggression, while several victims remain under the rubble, and rescue and civil defense teams are unable to reach them.
It indicated that 47 martyrs (including 9 who have been recovered) and 226 injured have arrived at hospitals in Gaza in the past 24 hours, while the toll of martyrs and injuries since March 18, after the occupation breached the ceasefire agreement, has reached 10,400 martyrs and 43,845 injured.
It clarified that the toll of those who reached hospitals from aid martyrs in the past 24 hours is 14 martyrs, and the injuries are 132, bringing the total number of martyrs from earning a livelihood who reached hospitals to 1,938, and injuries to 14,420.
During the past 24 hours, hospitals in Gaza recorded 7 deaths due to famine and malnutrition, including two children, raising the total number to 258 cases, of which 110 are children.
