Israeli Army: We Are Preparing to Relocate Gaza Residents to the South of the Strip
SadaNews - The spokesperson for the Israeli army, Avichai Adraee, announced on Saturday that the army will provide residents of the Gaza Strip with tents and shelter equipment starting Sunday, in preparation for relocating residents from combat areas to the southern part of the strip.
Adraee added that the equipment will be transported through the Kerem Shalom crossing by the United Nations and international relief organizations "after undergoing thorough inspection by personnel from the Ministry of Defense’s crossing authority."
Bombing of Various Areas
This comes as the Israeli army launched a series of airstrikes and attacks on various areas in Gaza earlier on Saturday, resulting in casualties among Palestinian civilians.
The Al-Awda Hospital in the Al-Nuseirat camp reported receiving 9 fatalities, including 6 children due to the Israeli army's shelling of civilian gatherings at a humanitarian aid distribution point in the south of the Gaza Valley.
Meanwhile, Israeli artillery intensified its bombardment of the Sabra neighborhood in Gaza City and the Al-Bureij and Al-Nuseirat camps in the central strip, coinciding with the continued demolition of residential buildings east of Gaza City.
It is worth noting that the Israeli government approved a plan last week to expand the war and completely occupy Gaza City, knowing that Israeli forces control about 75% of the strip.
International and UN denunciations and warnings have escalated regarding the dangers of expanding the war on the besieged Palestinian civilians in the devastated strip.
