Update: Injuries and Attacks on Property in Settler Assaults in the West Bank

SadaNews - Three citizens were injured by gunfire today, Friday, during a settler attack on the town of Al-Mazraa Al-Sharqiya east of Ramallah.

Local sources reported that the settlers shot three young men with live ammunition during the attack on the "Al-Burj" area east of the town, with their health status not yet known.

The areas surrounding the town have witnessed a rise in settler assaults over the past weeks, amid the ongoing occupation policy aimed at expanding settlements at the expense of the citizens' lands.

This came hours after a group of settlers set fire to four vehicles and parts of a house in the town of Attara, northwest of Ramallah, early in the morning.

Local sources indicated that the settlers attacked the eastern area of Attara, set four vehicles on fire, and threw incendiary bottles at a house, causing material damage. They also spray-painted racist slogans on the walls, while firefighting vehicles rushed to extinguish the flames that erupted.

The sources pointed out that the occupation army stormed the area to provide protection for the settlers.

Settlers also re-established colonial tents on the lands of "Khirbat Tarafin" near the entrance of the town of Attara yesterday, Thursday, following their demolition by the occupation army four times previously.

Last Monday, settlers established the outpost for the first time, seeking to seize the mountain, which is estimated to cover an area of about 2000 dunams, and is considered an archaeological site.

Meanwhile, a citizen and his wife were injured early in the morning due to an assault by settlers with clubs and batons in Massafer Yatta south of Hebron.

Activist Osama Makhamra stated that settlers attacked the homes of citizens in the village of Susiya in Massafer Yatta, and brutally assaulted citizen Khader Jumaa Al-Nawaja and his wife Fatima Khalil Al-Nawaja, resulting in head injuries from the assault with clubs and batons, and they were transferred to Yatta government hospital.

It is worth noting that settler gangs have intensified their assaults on citizens in their homes and properties to force them to relocate in favor of colonial expansion under the protection of the occupation army.
