Netanyahu Reiterates Cabinet Principles Regarding the War on Gaza, and Berni'a Sends Message to Mediators
Translation by SadaNews - Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu reiterated this Thursday evening the principles set by the cabinet for ending the war on Gaza.
These principles include disarming Hamas, returning all live and dead hostages without abandoning anyone, disarming the sector to ensure that weapons are not manufactured or smuggled into the area, maintaining security control over the sector including the buffer zone, and establishing an alternative civilian government that is neither Hamas nor the Palestinian Authority, but rather individuals who will not raise their children on "terrorism," will not fund it, nor send them.
Extreme Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich praised Netanyahu's affirmation of these conditions, noting that what is lacking is the assurance that the war will not cease until complete victory is achieved.
In this context, Channel 12 reported, as translated by SadaNews, that the visit of Mossad Chief David Barnea was designated for discussing a prisoner exchange deal, contrary to what Netanyahu's office stated about it having no relation.
According to the Hebrew channel, Barnea conveyed a clear message to the Qatari mediator that Israel would not concede a comprehensive deal nor accept a partial agreement.
The channel indicated that this message was also conveyed to the Egyptian mediator.
It noted that the visit of the head of the Mossad coincided with the visit of the Turkish Foreign Minister to Qatar.
